Are You Waiting For Something

This question has been on my mind for quite some time. What about you? Is there something that you have been waiting for? Could it be a new home, a new job, a change in your finances, improvements in certain relationships, maybe even an addition to your family?

What I learned during my lifetime is that God’s timing is perfect. We always need to pray for answers for ways to achieve what we want to change in our life. Also we have to realize that our circumstances may not change as quickly as you might like or they may not change at all. There are certainly reasons for this. In God’s eyes, it may not be right for you, it might be that He is waiting to see what we are doing to change these things whether it be for good or bad. We obviously have free will to listen for guidance from the Holy Spirit. Always remember if we jump ahead of God’s timing, the wait will seem like forever. The answer could be yes, this is the home for you, but it could be no for reasons such as cost, location, condition of the home to name just a few factors to consider.

It is good to remember to “bloom where we are planted.” Sometimes we are frustrated with our job. But we need to realize that this job provides money to pay our bills and benefits such as insurance, vacation and sick time. No matter where you work there will always be policies or people that differ from our views. Go to work each day as though you are working for God. It just may make your work day more pleasing and rewarding.

Let’s look at the topic of finances. Recently for me the words came to me that I do not have an income problem, but a spending problem. I’m aware of this situation and daily watch my expenditures so that I don’t find myself in a difficult place. I have been blessed with a good retirement income and live alone. When I look back to my income when I first started to work to where I am today, my decision to go into my career choice proved to be a good one. So after 34 years of working at my professional job, the wait was well worth it. This should give you hope wherever you may be with your job, your budget, or your financial security.

is there someone who you seem to “butt” heads with? Or are you the kind of person who can get along with just about anyone? You never know when your relationship will change for the better. But we must have the patience to wait sometimes for this to occur. It can be challenging or it may be a piece of cake, but always remember to be kind and to walk humbly with God.

Are you thinking of adding to your family? Maybe you are beyond child bearing age. Possibly you had an unplanned pregnancy. You may have even lost a child due to a miscarriage, stillbirth, or even a child who was born, but died soon after birth. You may be the couple who is struggling to conceive and will make the decision to adopt. These are all examples that require patience, prayer, and possibility. Trusting in God that He has a plan for all of us.
